Mother Tongue

This week has been an abundance singing, talking, laughing and sharing the languages we know. In K1LaD we have even been taking the register in other languages, saying hello in Russian, French, Italian, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin and even an attempt in Afrikaans!

Today was a particularly interesting expeirence for K1, visiting the Mother Tongue multi-language stalls. The children were encouraged to speak and even read/write in other languages, saying 'hello', 'goodbye' and counting.
